In 2004 Horizon Oxygen and Medical Equipment was founded in Anaheim, California to minister to people through hospice. With one truck and a mission to be a blessing, Horizon steadily grew through its focus on customer service and patient care.
In 2006 a second location was opened in Palm Desert followed by locations in San Diego, Victorville, Bakersfield, San Jose and Grand Terrace. In 2017 Horizon expanded its service areas to include Roseville and Escondido. As long as there are patients in hospice care who have needs, Horizon will continue to grow. We believe every patient deserves the excellent care, quality performance and reliability of our services. We will keep working to make our service the industry standard until all patients receive the care they deserve.
Horizon Oxygen began as a way to minister to people through hospice care, but eventually durable medical equipment was made available through private purchase. We offer a wide range of products available for purchase directly from our locations.
Horizon’s foundation was built on being a blessing through an interactive customer service experience. Being a blessing doesn’t stop at the patients. It also means making an experience easier for hospices, nurses, and patients’
families, especially in an age of growing technology.
In 2013 Horizon Oxygen and Medical Equipment began developing its own customized software. We recognized the importance of using technology to make things more convenient for our customers. This software allows us to provide the most efficient service and gives our customers the ability to oversee their orders from their own dashboard. For more information on our DME Benefit Management Software, see our Services section.
Since it was started, Horizon Oxygen and Medical Equipment has grown from one truck serving hospice patients to many locations serving anyone who has a need for durable medical equipment. Much of our success is attributed to making the principles of 1 Peter 3:8 our foundation: “Finally, all of you, be like minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble” (NIV). At Horizon we want to do everything we can to provide service and care that everyone deserves when they’re in need of durable medical equipment. In more than a decade Horizon Oxygen has grown, but our mission to minister to people has not changed. We will continue to be a blessing in all that we do.
